Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) posted a 7.9 rise in its net profit at Rs 758.49 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 702.94 crore in the same quarter a year ago, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's total income rose 20.1 per cent to Rs 5,634.13 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 4,691.08 crore.
However, shares of the company are trading at Rs 714, down 2.7 per cent on the BSE in the afternoon trades.
