M&M raises prices

Farm equipment and utility vehicles major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said on Saturday it would launch nine vehicles in various segments till March 2011. Additionally, the auto giant has raised prices of its products by up to Rs 18,000 following the increase in excise duty announced in the Budget. Pawan Goenka, president (automotive sector), said M&M had raised prices across various models ranging from Rs 2,500 for three wheelers up to Rs 18,000 for the top-end version of the sports utility vehicle Scorpio.
