Madras Cements reported a 13 per cent increase in its net profit during the first quarter of 2008-09 at Rs 113.97 crore compared to Rs 100.56 crore for the same period last year.
Company's total sales increased by 30 per cent to Rs 614.97 crore from Rs 469.37 crore. Total income rose by 30 per cent to Rs 616.36 crore during the first quarter from Rs 471.39 crore. Other income dropped to Rs 1.39 crore from 2.02 crore.
