Madura Garments to invest Rs 150cr for showrooms

"We will open one showroom every fortnight for the next three years to take the total number of showrooms to 200 in three years," Vanheusen Chief Operating Officer ShitalKumar Mehta said.     
It plans to open stores in tier 2 and tier 3 towns as well, including Srinagar, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mysore, Thrissur.     

The total carpet area of all the stores put together would be taken to five lakh square feet from the present one lakh square feet in the next three years.     

 

The company also plans to expand its chain of stores for women wear, which it launched two years back,"Our women wear segment growing at a rate of 50-60 per cent every year and so we will expand our chain for women wear as well," he said.     

The company achieved a turnover of Rs 400 crore last year.
