Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today laid the foundation stone of the Rs 725-crore Duke Aviation's maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility near here.
The facility, to be spread over 36.5 acres, will come up in the SEZ at Mihan near here.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, Maharashtra Ministers Anees Ahmed and Ramesh Bang, BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde, State BJP President Nitin Gadkari, Maharashtra Airport Development Corporation (MADC) Chairman and Managing Director R C Sinha, and Duke Aviation Chairman Stanson Dodson were present on the occasion.
Duke Aviation, a company promoted by Dubai-based investment fund Duke Equity, has said construction work on the MRO would begin next month.
Duke is the fourth company setting up an MRO in the orange city, the others being Boeing, Max Aerospace and Bravia.
