With the government reducing the price of domestically produced natural gas from $5.05 per million metric British thermal unit (mmBtu) to $4.66 per mmBtu, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) will be passing the benefit of this reduction to its customers by reducing the price of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
The revised price will be effective from midnight of April 1, 2015, MGL said in a press statement. Accordingly, the revised price of CNG in Mumbai will be Rs 42.95 per Kg and price of domestic PNG in Mumbai will be Rs 25.85 per standard cubic metre.
Revised prices (inclusive of local taxes) of CNG in the areas adjoining Mumbai shall be in the range of Rs 42.95 per Kg to Rs 44.03 per Kg.
