Maharashtra Seamless net up 5% at Rs 17 cr

Maharashtra Seamless has posted a five per cent growth in net profit at Rs 17.22 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 as compared with Rs 16.35 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
Total income (net of excise) has increased to Rs 142.33 crore (Rs 99.65 crore). The company recorded a 13 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 72 crore in 2003-04. During the last fiscal, the company's turnover grew 27 per cent to Rs 569 crore.
 
The company's board has proposed a total dividend of 40 per cent. Recently, the company bagged a Rs 95 crore order from Indian Oil Corporation to supply pipes for its Chennai-Trichy-Madurai pipeline.
