Mahindra Group, which spans a wide range of businesses from auto to aerospace to finance and farm equipment to IT, plans to hire around 25,000 professionals by end-this year, a top company executive said.
"The Mahindra Group is growing across all verticals and will continue to grow in the coming days. We plan to hire between 20,000-25,000 professionals across all sectors by December 2012," Mahindra and Mahindra's President (Group HR & After-Market), Rajeev Dubey, said here.
Presently, the $7.1-billion Mahindra Group has around 1.12-lakh professionals in the domestic and overseas markets. The company plans to hire more experienced professionals this year to further enhance the Mahindra brand, he said.
"We will hire more experienced professionals than freshers this year. We expect to hire around 10,000 professionals for the overseas markets and the rest for the domestic market," Dubey said.
The Group has already visited different institutions to hire freshers through campus recruitments, he said, adding "we are now global and we are aiming big now."
In the bracket of top tractor-makers in the world, M&M has a wide range in the auto sector from two-wheelers, SUVs to electric vehicles.

In the IT sector, it has expanded with its company TechMahindra acquiring Satyam Computer which is now known as Mahindra Satyam.
It entered the aerospace segment in 2009 when it acquired a 75.1 per cent stake each in Australia's Gippsland Aeronautics and Aerostaff Australia for Rs 175-crore to make aircraft and allied components to service the global market.
Last year, the group's automotive division had signed a definitive agreement with Ssangyong Motor to acquire 70 per cent stake in the ailing South Korean auto-maker at a total cost of $463-million.
