Mahindra Lifespace to develop SEZ in Lanka

Mahindra Lifespace Developers, the real estate arm of the Mahindra and Mahindra group, will set up a special economic zone (SEZ) in Sri Lanka.

The SEZ will be developed over 65 acre for mixed use development including an IT park, and generate over 35,000 jobs in the country.

An agreement to this effect was signed between Mahindra Lifespace Developers (MLDL) and the Board of Investments of Sri Lanka. The deal was signed by Arumugam Thondaman, Minister of Youth Empowerment and Socio-Economic Development, Sri Lanka and Arun Nanda, vice chairman, MLDL.
