Mahindra Powerol plans to add 7,000 new dealers

Eyes 20 per cent year-on-year growth for next five years.

With an aim to strengthen its sales network across the country, Mahindra Powerol, a division of Mahindra & Mahindra, is planning to expand its dealers’ network from the present 3,000 to 10,000 dealers by March 2013.

Mahindra Powerol, which presently has a business turn over of Rs 1,000 crores, is eying 15 to 20 per cent year-on-year sales growth for the next five years.

"Presently, we have 3,000 dealers across the country and we are planning to have total 10,000 dealers, by adding another 7,000 new dealers at pan India by March 2013. We are eying 15 to 20 per cent year-on-year growth for the next five years,” said P Palanippan, senior vice president,Mahindra Powerol.

 

Meanwhile, the company on Wednesday announced the launch of Intelli series of UPS products here in Nashik packed with advanced features for use in home and small offices.

The company, which currently markets its UPS systems in South India and Maharashtra, is planning to enter Bihar, Orissa and West Bengal by the end of the current FY 2011-12.

Engaged in the manufacture and supply of diesel gen sets for various applications, including for telecom towers, Mahindra Powerol had entered into manufacture and sales of UPS systems in early 2010. The company has so far sold out 2.5 lakh units of Diesel gensets and 1 lakh units of UPS.

The company manufactures UPS in two facilities- Chennai and Haridwar with a total joint capacity of 3 lakh units of UPS a year. The company manufacture Diesel genset at four locations- Chennai, Pune, Delhi and Vasai (near Mumbai), with a total capacity of 50,000 units of Diesel gensets a year.
