Mahindra Firstchoice, a multi-brand pre-owned car sales major from the Mahindra & Mahindra group, has set a target to sell 1 lakh used cars by 2014, a top company official said today.
The company, with its 60 outlets across the country, has sold 10,250 used cars last year and expected to sell 18,000 cars this year, Mahindra First Choice CEO Shubhabrata Saha told reporters here.
The company has already sold over 9,000 cars this year.
The company was confident of selling 1 lakh cars by 2014 and would open 300 more outlets by then, Saha said here at the inauguration of the first dealership showroom in the city.
Stating that used cars have a market of 1.5 million vehicle in a year, with 20 per cent annual growth, he said there was tremendous potential for the sector, with more people buying used cars.
