Luxury home furnishing brand Maishaa is gearing up to expand its retail presence with plans to have a total of 25 exclusive stores by March 2010 and doubling points of sales in multi-brand outlets.

"We ventured into exclusive retail format in December last year with our first franchise operated store in Delhi. We are now looking at a total of 25 such outlets across India by end of the fiscal in March next year," Maishaa President Arun Garg told PTI.

He said the company would keep on with the franchise-operated model and the next six stores would be operational by July in Ahmedabad, Surat, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

In the multi-brand format, Maishaa has presence in 50 outlets of various retail players like Home Stop and Debenhams. "Our aim is now to double our points of sale to 100 multi-brand outlets by March 2010," Garg said.

Maishaa has a product range of around 2,000 models in luxury segment bed linen, pillow covers, sofa covers and other home furnishing goods.

"We would be launching another 1,500-odd models by end of this month," he added.
