Maishaa plans Rs 100 crore expansion

Luxury bed linen brand Maishaa plans to set up six company-owned stores in the metros during the current year. A K Retail, which owns the brand, plans to invest around Rs 100 crore over two and a half years on this initiative.
 
Currently, Maishaa is available in more than 40 stores including Jagdish Stores, Shopper's Stop and Lifestyle among others.
 
AK Retail's partner Amandeep Singh said, "With Maishaa, our focus is to bring to the Indian consumer outstanding luxury home fashion textiles".
 
Currently, the company imports bed linen that are manufactured by Pasaya and Piumino companies based in Thailand.
 
Singh added that Maishaa has become the first Indian brand to be recognised as the official bed and bath linen collection for the New York Fashion Week. The announcement was made by Fern Mallis, senior vice president, IMG Fashion, who organises the Fashion Week.
 
"Maishaa's emphasis on imaginative art and design, and its attention to detail has brought and international platform for their products.
