Online travel firm MakeMyTrip Ltd today posted a near three-fold increase in its net income for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 at $2.95 million, compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
In the quarter ended March 31, 2011, the company had net income of $1.07 million, it said in a statement.
The Nasdaq-listed firm's total income also rose 49.6% during the quarter to $46.95 million, as against $31.37 million.
"MakeMyTrip delivered strong financial results in the fourth fiscal quarter and full year despite a challenging operating environment," MakeMyTrip Chairman and CEO Deep Kalra said.
In the year ended March 31, 2012, the firm's net income rose 76.4% to $9 million compared to 5.1 million in the previous year.
It's sales increased 57.5% to $196.6 million in FY12, against $124.8 million in FY 11.
