Pay our salaries without more delay and stop senior managers from their extravagant decisions, according to more than one pilot of Kingfisher Airlines who attended the meeting with chairman Vijay Mallya last week. Many of the airline’s pilots have refused to fly until they get their salaries. The meeting was called to break this deadlock. Mallya, CEO Sanjay Aggarwal and executive VP Hitesh Patel met the pilots. The pilots questioned the creation of a large number of posts at the level of vice-president (VP) and above. There were, they said, 25 of VP rank, to which Aggarwal was reported to have said, ‘We will take some measures. Everyone will be informed’. The airline spokesperson did not respond to an email query seeking comment.
