Man Ind's Q3 net profit up ten-fold at Rs 30.92 cr

Leading SAW pipes manufacturer Man Industries (India) reported a ten-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 30.92 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.

The company's net profit in the year-ago period stood at Rs 2.69 crore.

However, its net income from sales were down at Rs 439.31 crore from Rs 456.58 crore in the year-ago period, a company statement said here today.

The company's order-book currently stands at around Rs 1,500 crore.

Man Industries (India)'s Chairman R C Mansukhani said, "we have seen a marked improvement in our financial results during the third-quarter. We are optimistic about the performance of the company for the current financial year, as most of the orders we have bagged in the past are being executed in these quarters."
