MAN Trucks India appoints Joerg Mommertz as CMD

MAN Trucks India has produced over 23,000 vehicles for domestic and international markets

MAN Trucks India today said it has appointed Joerg Mommertz as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company with effect from October 1.

Mommertz began his career at MAN in 1991 as Service Manager and has held several management positions in Belgium, Scandinavia, Poland and Denmark.

In his last assignment, he was Managing Director for MAN Trucks and Bus Russia.

"There is a strong focus by MAN Group in India and I believe that I will be able to facilitate and nurture MAN Trucks India with most dynamic market focus on economic transport solutions," Mommertz said in a statement.
 

The company would also continue to develop a strong and professional network offering customers a wide product range, service and business solutions, he added.

MAN Trucks India is a fully owned subsidiary of MAN Truck and Bus AG, Germany. Headquartered at Pune, MAN Trucks India has its production facility at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh from where it has produced over 23,000 vehicles for domestic and international markets.
