Billionaire Ranjan Pai-controlled Manipal Hospitals is in final talks to sell a minority stake in the company to government anc­hored National Investment and Infrstructure Fund (NIIF) for ~2,100 crore and the deal is likely to be closed soon, said sources close to the development.
 
The amount raised would be partly used to fund the company’s acquisition of Columbia Asia Hospitals’ India business and partly to finance some of the other acquisitions that Manipal Health Enter­prises is exploring in the near future, added the sources.
