Chennai-based Manna Foods, the makers of Manna range of Health products, has roped in cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin as their global brand ambassador.
ISAK Nazar, managing director, Manna Foods in a release said “As a home grown brand built with traditional values and ethics, our natural choice was Ashwin who represents the underlying brand values. The association is also at the time when we are on an aggressive expansion and growth phase".
“What excites me is not only the key focus on natural health products, but also the fact that I can be a catalyst of change for the young generation to embrace change in the food habits. Coming from the old school of thought, tradition and heritage values are close to my heart; it is important to take home the values of our traditional practice and am happy to be associated with the brand” a release quoted Ashwin.

Manna Foods has established foothold in the southern states including Puducherry and last year entered the Eastern markets (Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar).
The Chennai based brand also exports to Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and US. Currently, 6-7% of its turnover is from the export market which it aims to increase to 20%.
Manna Foods has a manufacturing facility in Ponneri with a grinding capacity of 350 tonnes and a packing capacity of 600 tonnes. It is currently generating Rs 60 crore of business with its products available in the south and other key pockets of India.
With a strong growth rate of 40% y-o-y, Manna Health’s products aim to touch Rs 200 crore by 2017. The brand also has a lineup of new products to be launched soon with a deep focus in the natural health product segment.
