Maruti recalls 2,000 Versa units

Maruti Udyog Ltd today recalled a little over 2,000 units of its 'Versa' model for replacing a faulty component in its exhaust system, free-of-cost.

"During the quality audit at our factory, in a few vehicles, some aberrations have been noticed in one component of the exhaust system," the company said, adding that the part would be replaced without any extra charge.

But the company clarified that there was "no functional problem" in the vehicles.
