Maruti sales up 6% in Sept

 Total sales, including exports, improved three per cent, with exports going down 32 per cent.

 The company said in a statement issued here that its domestic sales in September stood at 34,543 vehicles, as against 33,585 units sold a year ago.

 In the half-year ended September 30, sales improved 31 per cent to 2,12,468 units. Of this, domestic sales grew 26 per cent to 1,90,044 units, while exports climbed 98 per cent to 22,424 units.

 Hyundai Motor reported a 9.5 per cent growth in sales in September at 11,004 units. Exports grew from 1,052 units to 6,005 units.

 Its total sales, including exports, at 17,009 grew 53 per cent in September and 44.4 per cent in the April-September period.
