India's top carmaker Maruti Suzuki plans to expand the footprint of its premium car outlets Nexa in Uttar Pradesh.

The company would increase the Nexa outlets number to 10 from the current tally of seven by December 2015. Currently, Nexa outlets are located across five cities viz. Lucknow, Allahabad, Kanpur, Noida and Agra in UP.

"UP is an important market for us and we would be launching new Nexa outlets as the market grows," Maruti commercial business head (North and East) Nexa Rohit Agnihotri told Business Standard here today.

On pan India basis, the number of Nexa outlets stands at 80 compared to just 35 three months back.

He was in town to launch new premium hatchback Baleno, which would be sold through Nexa outlets in addition to S-Cross, which had been launched earlier.

Baleno is available in both petrol and diesel variants with price tags ranging from Rs 5.09 lakh to Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom Lucknow) on different models.

"The launch of Baleno will help further increase our market share," Agnihotri added.
