IT firm Mastek today posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 27 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 13.46 crore in the July-September quarter last year, Mastek said in a filing to the BSE.
"The economic scenario in Europe continues to be fluid and we are keeping a close watch on the changing market scenario," Mastek Chairman and Group CEO Sudhakar Ram said.
Total income rose to Rs 158.16 crore during the quarter under review, against Rs 151.35 crore in the same period year-ago.
On standalone basis, the company posted a net loss of Rs 25 crore, against a net loss of Rs 14.77 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.
During first quarter of FY12, the company added four new customers, taking the total to 91. As on September 30, 2011, the company had a cash and cash equivalent of Rs 120.6 crore.

As on September 30, 2011, 12-months order backlog stood at Rs 326 crore.
The company had a total of 2,894 employees as on September 30, 2011, compared to 2,905 employees at the end of June 30, 2011.
Shares of Mastek closed at Rs 98 on the BSE, up 2.62% from its previous close.
