Max to invest Rs 500 cr in four new hospitals

Max Healthcare today said it would open four new super speciality hospitals in North India by November this year at an investment of nearly Rs 500 crore.

"Max Healthcare will be opening four new hospitals by the end of November, thereby adding 1,200 beds," Max healthcare CEO and Managing Director Pervez Ahmed told PTI.

The new hospitals, under the super-speciality category, will come up at Delhi (Shalimar Bagh), Dehradun, Bhatinda and Mohali.

The hospitals at Bhatinda and Mohali will focus on heart diseases, trauma and cancer and orthopaedics and would be under a public-private partnership mode with the Punjab government.

 

"The hospitals at Bhatinda and Mohali will open in August," Ahmed added.

One of the prominent hospital chains in the country, Max Healthcare which currently runs six hospitals and two centres, currently has a capacity of over 930 beds.

Meanwhile, the company today inaugurated 'Max first aid kiosks and ambulance service' for Delhi Metro commuters.

The first aid kiosks, which will operate at select metro stations, will provide first aid and emergency care facilities to commuters.
