Maytas Infra looking for CEO

Maytas Infra Ltd, a firm promoted by Satyam founder chairman B Ramalinga Raju’s kin, is making efforts to appoint a chief executive officer at the company. It has also formed a project management committee to ensure that its projects are not affected.

The company’s board met today under the chairmanship of former chairman of Airports Authority of India (AAI) K Ramalingam. Tax lawyer OP Vaish, former Assocham president Anil K Agarwal, former Institute of Chartered Accountants of India president Ved Jain, director Teja Raju and whole-time director B Narashimha Rao also attended the meeting.

The board held discussions on the business plan, orders in hand and those under execution. It also held discussions with bankers and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (ILFS) Chairman Ravi Parthasarathy. The business heads and senior officials of the company have prepared an action plan to ensure timely execution of orders.

 

According to Jain, the board saw good prospects for the company. It also attempted to evaluate the Maytas projects. The board is optimistic about the future of the company.

The meeting was originally scheduled to be held on April 10 but was postponed.
