Infrastructure company Maytas Infra today posted a loss of Rs 43.46 crore for the April-June quarter this year.

The company, which was formerly promoted by the family of Satyam fraud accused B Ramalinga Raju, had reported a loss of Rs 16.28 crore for the same quarter a year ago.

The results are not comparable from the same quarter previous year because of the restructuring of joint venture companies during the period, Maytas said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company reported an income of Rs 173.18 crore in the June quarter. The income from operations of the company in the corresponding quarter last year was at Rs 207.97 crore.

Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia-based Saudi BinLadin Group (SBG) had acquired a 20 per cent stake in Maytas Infra for Rs 301.92 crore, thereby becoming a co-promoter of the company along with Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services.

Shares of Maytas Infra were trading at Rs 222 on BSE, down 1.77 per cent from previous close.
