In a bid to cash in on the IPL action, quick service restaurant chain McDonald’s has announced a new promotional offer - Braveheart Fans- “Meal Khao South Africa Jao” which gives consumers a chance to meet the Delhi Daredevils in Johannesburg.
As part of the offer, on ordering a meal from any Mc-saving combo (choice of economy meal, McVeggie meal and McChicken meal) the customers will be entitled to get a scratch coupon, which will further help getting chance to watch IPL final live which is scheduled for May 24, 2009 at Johannesburg in South Africa, a company press release said. “We are confident that our consumers will not only enjoy the promotions created around the IPL but will also appreciate our effort of providing them with a chance to send their best wishes to their favourite team,” Sanjeev Katiyal, Director Marketing McDonald’s India (Northern & Eastern Region) said.
Besides exciting prizes on offer for customers, the coupons will also entitle nine mega prize winners to fly to Johannesburg to meet the Delhi Daredevils (DD) team and see the match scheduled for May 19, 2009 at Johannesburg and win exclusive team merchandise. Moreover, about 50 Daily Prize winners will win team merchandise like Caps, Bags, T-shirts and redeemable coupons from Adidas, the release added.
McDonald’s 155 restaurants in India of which 86 are in North and East India and 69 are located in West and South India.
