Fast food chain McDonald's is on an expansion drive, with 100 more restaurants planned in the next three years, Amit Jatia, MD of Hardcastle Restaurants, JV partner of McDonald's India, said.

The company currently has 96 restaurants countrywide and expects to have 115 of them by the end of the year.

The company will also increase the patty-making capacity at its Taloja plant in the next 6 to12 months. "We will take the capacity from 6000 tonne per year now to 8000 tonne," Jatia said.

The additional capacity will entail incremental investment of about Rs 15 crore, he informed. The company has recently expanded the capacity from 4000 tonne to 6000 tonne and this further addition is a response to the increased demand and the company's expansion plans, Jatia said.
