McDonald's to open 10 restaurants in South by 2010

McDonald's, a food service retail chain, is planning to invest Rs 30 crore to open 10 restaurants in southern states. Currently the chain operating 23 restaurants in the four states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karantaka.
 
Speaking to reporters in Chennai after opening inagurating its's first standalone restaurant, Ranjit Paliath, Director-Southern Region, McDonalds said that across the country the company had planning to open 25-30 stores by 2010, of which 10 will be opened in southern states.
 
The investment will be made along with by its joint veture partner, for Western and Southern regions, Hardcastle Restaurants Private Limited.
