McLeod Russel net profit at Rs 240. 33 cr

McLeod Russel India has recorded a net profit from ordinary activities after tax of Rs 240.33 crore in the year ended March 31, 2010, an increase of 170 per cent over the same period last year, on the back of higher selling price. Average selling price during 2009-2010 was at Rs 137.25 per kg, higher by Rs 26.22. Sales at Rs 1,076.82 crore saw an increase of 29.91 per cent. The company expects strong prices in the current year, on the back of a shortage in the supply system.
