Industry veteran Rammohan Sundaram -- whose previous assignments included heading the national sales team at Yahoo and Tribal Media and Madison earlier -- has founded a digital advertising space networklive.in.

Joining Sundaram are four of his former colleagues from yahoo and online search advertising firm Webchutney's Sidharth Rao.

The venture has also found backers with venture capital funding from Network18's capital lending arm Capital18.

Networklive.in is focused on  audience focused vertical ad network targeting brand advertisers.

It will cater to the Rs 100 crore advertising banner space that is estimated to grow at  20-25% per annum to become a Rs 550 cr market by 2010-11.

"Our plan is to grow the market by bringing in traditional companies from verticals like FMCG, healthcare, education and mobility companies online," said Sundaram.

Currently it has launched two offerings for travel and women verticals and will soon launch business, technology, news, shopping, social media, and entertainment categories as well.

"We will provide more transparency and statistics to our clients and make online advertising a compelling proposition for them to advertise with us," said Sundaram.

The company would be launching statistical tools within the first quarter of 2009 for advertisers to reach out to consumers with specific interests to engage with their brands.
