Mega-serial on Jagannath in Tarang from 28 June

The mega serial Shri Jagannath, based on the miracles of the life of Lord Jagannath, will be telecast in the popular entertainment channel ‘Tarang’.

The telecast of the serial would commence from June 28.

“The project cost involved in the making of Shri Jagannath is Rs 6 crore. The mega serial, comprising about 200 episodes, will run for four years”, said Bibhu Rath, executive vice-president, Ortel Communications.

A special preview of the mega serial was held today in the city. Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb, Bansidhar Panda, the executive chairman of IMFA group and Harekrushna Satapathy, vice-chancellor of Tirupati Sanskrit University were present on the occasion.

 

The serial produced by Bijay Kandoi and directed by Hara Patnaik and Himansu Parija, focuses on the activities of Lord Jagannath and his love for the devotees. Noted music director Manmath Misra has scored the music for the serial.
