Megasoft Q3 net dips 82%
Megasoft Ltd, a Chennai-based product-based technology company, reported an 81.66 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 2.2 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2008, as compared with Rs 12 crore in the same quarter last year. However, total income of the company, which follows a January-to-December financial year, grew 13.87 per cent to Rs 82.9 crore, as against Rs 72.8 crore.
Orchid net falls 35%
Chennai-based pharmaceutical company, Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd reported a 35 drop in net profit in the quarter ended September 30, 2008, at Rs 40.66 crore as compared to Rs 63.27 crore for the same period last year. Net sales rose by 18 per cent to Rs 339.14 crore from Rs 285.70 crore.
Pricol Ltd Q2 loss at Rs 8.1 crore
Coimbatore-based automotive instruments and precision engineering products manufacturer Pricol Ltd’s made a loss of Rs 8.1 crore during the quarter ended September 30 against a profit of Rs 0.69 crore for the same period last year. Net sales increased to Rs 165.75 crore from Rs 143.83 crore.
