Mercedes Benz launches E-Class

Mercedes-Benz has launched its ninth-generation iconic sedan E-class, which has a number of technical innovations, in Mumbai.

The E-class, which was launched yesterday, sports a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and has been introduced in top-of-the-line avant garde styling.

The super-luxury sedan is assembled at the German luxury carmaker's Pune plant and its ex-showroom price in Mumbai is Rs 45,89,206, Rs 46,97,999 (Delhi), Rs 46,94,062 (Chennai), Rs 47,02,499 (Kolkata) and Rs 46,89,562 (Bangalore).

The luxury car will be available at the company's 45 showrooms pan-India.

"The all-new E-Class is the perfect embodiment of the brand's core values rooted in the timeless design and innovation. This outstanding product, the ninth-generation E-Class displays outstanding driving dynamics and represents our cumulative experience garnered over 123-years of automative leadership," Mercedes-Benz's Managing Director and CEO, Wilfrid Aulbur, said.

 

"We hope that the E-Class will take a sizeable marketshare in the luxury car segment in Western region," he said.

To a question, Aulbur said that with 11,000 customers, the E-Class has been most popular luxury sedan in India.

The luxury car segment market which was expanding had a lot of potential, he said.
