India's largest luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Thursday launched the AMG C 63 S at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the eleventh launch for the year by the company.
Mercedes, which had promised to make 15 launches in India this year, has so far launched ten AMG models in the Indian market, all of which are built in Germany and imported to India. These include S 63, E 63, SLK 55, GLA 63, G 63 to name a few.
The C 63 S is a rear-wheel drive sports car, powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with an output of 375 kW (510 hp), which makes it the most powerful car in its segment.

The car is capable to clocking a top-speed of 290 kmph.
Eberhard Kern, managing director and chief executive officer, Mercedes-Benz India, said: “The AMG C 63 S will play a key role in strengthening Mercedes-Benz’s strong presence in the performance car segment.” The new sedan sports a new head-up display. It projects information such as vehicle speed, race timer, navigation information, upshift indicator onto the windscreen. The virtual colour display measuring 21x7 cm appears to float on the bonnet at a distance of about two metres from the driver.
