German luxury car maker Mercedes Benz today launched its compact performance sedan CLA 45 AMG priced at Rs 68.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The company also said it would launch the CLA-Class sedan in the next six months.
"The launch of CLA 45 AMG in India is a significant step forward towards the evolution of performance driving in the country," said Eberhard Kern, managing director and chief executive officer, Mercedes Benz India.

The CLA 45 AMG is the seventh product of the AMG brand, part of the Daimler group, available in the Indian market. He added: "We have seen a rising demand among our growing young customer base for a stylish and high performance car, which makes a strong personal style statement adding practicality of everyday use simultaneously. We will also launch CLA Class performance sedan soon."
Globally, the AMG brand sold 32,000 units last year and the German automotive major is expecting a double digits growth this year. US, UK, Germany and Japan are the top markets of the brand.
The company will launch compact SUV GLA later this year.
Mercedes Benz, which sold a total of 9,003 cars last year in India, is looking at double digits growth this year. It has expanded production at its Chakan plant to 20,000 units annually to meet growing demand in the country.
