Mercedes-Benz India, the second biggest luxury car manufacturer in the country, today launched the GL 63 AMG sports utility vehicle at Rs 1.66 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The new model is one of the most powerful SUVs on sale in India. The GL 63 has an 5.5 litre engine developing maximum power of 558 hp and an electronically controlled top speed of 250 kmph.
Like the A-Class, B-Class, CLS-Class and the SLK-Class , the GL 63 will be fully imported into India from Germany. Mercedes-Benz locally assembles models such as C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, GL-Class and M-Class from its Pune-based plant.
