To cater to the burgeoning demand in the replacement market, Metro Tyres Ltd, one of the leading two-wheeler tyre manufacturer and having manufacturing facility in Ludhiana and the NCR region, has earmarked Rs 50 crore to expand its Ludhiana unit’s manufacturing capacity. Currently, the manufacturing capacity of the Ludhiana unit is 50,000 motorcycle tyres per month and has plans to increase its capacity to 150,000 tyres per month.
Already, the company has signed agreement with the German tyre major, Continental AG. The company’s Ludhiana plant was set up with state-of-the-art technology provided by Continental AG of Germany.
