Metso bags Rs 230cr order from Indian steel majors

On an expansion spree in India, the company has received Rs 112-crore order from Essar Steel Ltd and Rs 72.5 crore from JSW Steel for supply of iron induration machines, a statement from Metso Mineral said.     

It added that Bharat Mines and Minerals (BMM) Ispat has also placed Rs 44.5-crore order with Metso Minerals for supplying equipment and basic engineering to benefit iron ore fines through gravity separation and high gradient magnetic separation at its plant site at Danapur in Karnataka. 

 

It also said the iron ore induration machine ordered by JSW Steel is meant for its Vijayanager plant in Bellary, Karnataka.     

The JSW order comprises a 464 square metre induration machine with 177 pellet cars with a feed rate of approximately 375 tonnes per hour of iron ore pellets, it added.     

Metso Minerals has announced its plans to invest about 30 million euro in India to set up Metso Park, a multi- functional industrial facility in Alwar, Rajasthan.    

The company would also expand its manufacturing and foundry capacities in India with a combined investment of 12.5 million euro.
