MIC Electronics Limited, a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of light-emitting diode screens and lighting equipment, has received approval from the Research and Design Standards Organisation (RDSO) of the Indian Railways for its ‘true colour video-cum-train information display systems’. MIC is the first and only company to get the RDSO nod for the same.

The train information systems, both indoor and outdoor, take data from SIMRAN (satellite imaging for rail navigation) and display station-specific train information in three languages — English, Hindi and the local language of the station, MIC said in a release.
