The award was conferred by the All-India Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) in the large enterprises category. |
The award was conferred to the company by Kamal Nath, Union minister of commerce and industry, at an awards function organised by the EEPC in Chennai recently. |
The company boasts of export figures of Rs 423 crore in 2005, almost twice as high as Rs 193 crore in 2001. |
Albert Hieronimus, MD, Motor Industries, said in a release: "We have laid aggressive targets to capture new opportunities and in 2006-07, we hope to grow by 50 per cent nearing the Rs 600-crore mark in the exports segment." |
