MICO gets star performer award

Bangalore-based Motor Industries Company Ltd, flagship of the Bosch Group in India, has been awarded the Star Performer Award for outstanding performance in exports for 2004-2005.
 
The award was conferred by the All-India Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) in the large enterprises category.
 
The award was conferred to the company by Kamal Nath, Union minister of commerce and industry, at an awards function organised by the EEPC in Chennai recently.
 
The company boasts of export figures of Rs 423 crore in 2005, almost twice as high as Rs 193 crore in 2001.
 
Albert Hieronimus, MD, Motor Industries, said in a release: "We have laid aggressive targets to capture new opportunities and in 2006-07, we hope to grow by 50 per cent nearing the Rs 600-crore mark in the exports segment."
