MICO's net zooms

Motor Industries Company (MICO) has announced a net profit of Rs 374.7 crore for year-ended December 31, 2004 while recording a total income of Rs 2,434.4 crore, in a statement to the BSE.

While total income grew 23.2 per cent from Rs 1,974.9 crore in December 2003, net profit has grown 59 per cent from Rs 2,350 crore during the corresponding period the year before.

The statement said the company's income for the quarter-ended December 31, 2004 has increased from Rs 541.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year to Rs 639.6 crore, a growth of 18 per cent.

Net profits during the period also grew y-o-y from Rs 51.8 crore to Rs 60.8 crore.
