Microsoft Corp Challenge: ICICI comes out trumps

The ICICI team emerged as champions in the first-ever Microsoft Corporate Challenge, which was held in Goa. J Morgan Stanley made it to the second place, while the Times of India team secured the third position that witnessed a series of 'physical and mental games'.
 
The three-day international corporate event witnessed some of the country's business tycoons demonstrating their skills at team work, making their teams work as a cohesive unit and thereby outperforming with individual brilliance.
 
Given the incredible performance and enthusiasm of India Inc, T Venkat Vardhan, managing director (MD), DNA Networks announced that the competition will now be made an annual event in Goa.
 
"It was an overwhelming response that saw the Microsoft Corporate Challenge rocking and I am sure that, more and more corporates would participate in this unique competition," he said.
 
Neelam Dhawan, MD, Microsoft India said, "It was a bonding experience for each team that participated in this three-day event. This event was not meant to drive business, but to network corporates to compete with each other." All the winning teams were given trophies and gifts from Microsoft, Mont Blanc and McDowells.
 
The format was conceptualised by the DNA Networks and Sport Media, and saw companies like Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Satyam Computers, ICICI, J Morgan Stanley, ABB, Wartsila India Ltd, RMZ, Idea Cellular, JWT, McCann Erickson, Kingfisher, Madam Rosa, Times Network, Pratham and the combined Armed Forces as well.
