Minda bags Rs 50 cr order from Volkswagen

The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange about the orders that entail supply of headlamps and rear combination lamps for the car models.

The orders also include supply of headlamps and rear combination lamps for Volkswagen's global model being manufactured in Russia. The company would supply these from its existing facility at Chakan in Pune, it added.

 

Minda Industries is also conducting feasibility studies for setting up a new lighting plant at Bawal in Haryana.

The company is in talks with other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as well for supply of headlamps, the filing added.

Minda Industries expects the turnover from lighting division to contribute Rs 225-250 crore to the top line of the company in the next two years.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 307.10, up 4.10 per cent in the afternoon trade at the BSE.
