Addressing mediapersons during the launch of the company's high-end television "� Poison "� here, G Sundar, chief executive officer of Mirc Electronics Limited, said that the Onida brand enjoys 12 per cent of the market share in the colour TV segment and the company was looking at enhancing it to 15 per cent by introducing new brands by the end of this fiscal. During last fiscal, the company's turnover was Rs 1,200 crore of which TV sales share contributed 75 per cent. |
In the current year, the company is expecting a turnover of about Rs 1,500 crore, of it exports would be about Rs 350 crore, he said. |
"We are planning to sell 10,000 TV sets of 'Poison' during this month and expect that 15 per cent of our total TV sales would come through 'Poison' range of TVs during this fiscal," he said. |
