Pointing towards muted demand, residential property prices grew in just 5 of the 15 major cities in the January to March quarter sequentially, while the rest showed a decline in prices, according to the National Housing Bank's Residex. Jaipur topped the list, showing a rise in prices by 25 per cent, followed by Hyderabad and Chennai showing a rise by 8.8 per cent and 2.7 per cent, respectively. Kochi, Bangalore and Patna witnessed significant corrections. In the previous quarter, however, at least nine cities had shown a rise in property prices.
