Mkt Watch: Negative news flow hits sentiment

 About the low sentiment in the market, an analyst with a top brokerage said: "I don't think that there has been big selling by funds otherwise the Sensex would have dropped further. The selling is more because of a few negative sentiments like RBI's decision to limit credit flow to individuals seeking to invest in stocks."

Tata Steel stock dropped nearly 3% following the news of a rival bid from Brazil's CSN for the Anglo-Dutch steel company Corus.  The stock hit a four-month low of Rs 459 before recovering partially in noon deals.
