After bidders submit the EoIs, MMTC would shortlist a panel for supply of ferro alloys. Then, MMTC would enter into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the shortlisted bidders for supply to NINL's steel plant and meeting trade enquiries for both domestic and overseas customers.
After receiving trade enquiries, MMTC would extend limited tenders to the shortlisted suppliers. However, it would not be binding on either MMTC or any of the shortlisted suppliers to execute the MoU.
These tenders would be short duration tenders wherein terms and conditions will be indicated based on requirement of NINL and other end users. The supplier is needed to make the most competitive offer in terms of price and payment terms.
The supplier should be a manufacturer of ferro alloys in India having supplied the material within the country and abroad.
The bidder's EOI is to be kept valid for acceptance for a period of 60 days from the date of submission of the EOI or such other extended period as mutually agreed. Post empanelment, an MoU is to be signed between MMTC and the bidder, as per format provided by MMTC. This MoU would be valid for a period of three years.
