MMTC, a mineral and metals trading company under the ministry of commerce, has posted a 58 per cent increase in its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008, the company said in an announcement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

</p><p class='TableClas'>The company&#39;s turnover for the year was Rs 26,475 crore as against Rs 23,347 crore in 2007. </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>At 11.45 AM, the company&#39;s share was trading at Rs 18,618, down 4.08 per cent from its previous close.&nbsp; </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
