Having a catchy brand name matters for an e-commerce company. This is the first thing Rahul Garg, founder and CEO of Moglix, learnt from his inspiration, Chinese technology giant Alibaba. Just like Alibaba, he needed a brand name everyone easily would remember and relate to.

So Garg zeroed in on his favourite character from childhood, Mowgli of Jungle Book, and named his B2B e-commerce marketplace that specialises in procurement of industrial products Moglix.
